In the 19th century, the dramatic development of transportation increased the demand for travel among the wealthy. Naturally, the bag required both the functionality of lightness and durability and the beauty of the appearance.
For this reason, a coated canvas is developed with a durable cotton canvas coated with rubber -like material. It is resistant to rain and dirt, is light and durable, and above all, it looks elegant and beautiful.

In 2005, Elbe Chaprie released an upper line GP (Pebbled Grain COATED CANVAS) using an original fabric with pebbles with a pebble pattern on this high -quality material. While following the simple design of the classic products so far, the GP line with elegantness is now a series that represents Elbe Chapri.
All GP products are made by the experienced Artisan hands in France.
